Thank you for posting this picture of St. Michael Church. I used to go there when I was young child. We live right next door to the church. It's the brick house that was built into the hill. I now live in Sydney, Australia. It was nice to be able to share this picture with my five year old.
As of 2013 I believe this little church has closed its doors. I dont know if it was for the lack of priest, dwindling congregation or consolidation but it has closed. I never was inside but it has an old cemetery attached to it that leads me to believe this is not the first parsh church. It was in a nice rural setting and it is a shame
They still hold occasional masses there; the former parishioners are fiercely loyal to it. My parents still go there when special masses are held. I was married in that church in 1988.
