Beautiful pictures and blog. I love old churches and parish history books.
Is there a history pictoral book of the archdiocese of St. Louis that I can purchase somewhere? Alot of dioceses produce 100 or 150th anniversary history books with lots of old pictures. Does such a book exist? Thanks so much!
Reply not from Mark, but there is such a book ("Archdiocese of St. Louis: Three Centuries of Catholicism 1700-2000," ISBN 2-7468-0353-4). You can find it on the Amazon site through various sellers.
I am fortunate to have recently received a Nikon D40, which has a nice, low-noise sensor.
In these photos, I used the D40's kit lens, which when zoomed out only goes to f/5.6. I used walls and columns to steady the camera, and set the ISO to 1600 or 3200. I did strong noise reduction in post processing.
Those are beautiful shots! My parish church...it's quite photogenic. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell done, sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not very good at taking photos during events, though.

ReplyDeleteWhat lens(es) were you using? They must've been fast!
