Saint Theodore Guerin, born October 2nd, 1798 at Etables-sur-Mer, Brittany, France, as Anne-Thérèse Guérin.
In 1841, she founded the first women's liberal arts college in the United States, the Academy of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Mother Guerin will be canonized in Rome this Sunday. The ceremony will be televised live on EWTN at 4 a.m. and rebroadcast at Noon, Eastern Time.
