Soulard Panorama

The Mississippi River, Illinois, the Anheuser-Busch brewery, and at least six Catholic churches can be seen in this photo of the old Soulard neighborhood of Saint Louis. Click picture for a bigger version, and see if you can find Saint Raymond, Saint Vincent de Paul, Saints Peter and Paul, Saint Joseph (Croatian), Saint John Nepomuk, and Saint Agatha.

  1. Greetings from an American in Korea!

Yours is a wonderful blog. My family spent a month in your city last year when my daughter had surgery at Children's Hospital.

Driving in from the airport, we were greeting by a billboard that read: "Our Lady of Guadalupe - Empress of all the Americas."

We visted many of the churches you link to here. I was amazed by the city and found so much to do as a family. I loved it so much, that St. Louis is on the top of my list for places to relocate to when I return from Korea.

    Yours,

  2. Joshua,

Thank you for your compliment, and good luck on your relocation.

I do like Saint Louis, but then I am biased because I live here. I've also lived in California, and that is a fantastic place, but it has its problems!

    Best regards,
